The new Fort George Brew Pub in Astoria,( http://fortgeorgebrewery.com/,) has been open since the spring of 2007. This Brewery is a Joint venture between Chris Nemlowill and Jack Harris, formally Head brewer at Bill's Tavern and Brew Pub in Nearby Cannon Beach. The Greatest little Brew Fest in the Northwest!
The festival will be held downtown at Astoria's Public Square on Duane and 12th street. Live music, street dance, food venders, many Pacific NW breweries present. The rumor this year is that there will be a more diverse beer selection on tap for the event.

This event features fresh or wet hop beers that are made only once a year. The hops in these brews are harvested fresh and rushed to the breweries to go into the boil kettle within 24 to 48hours of coming off the vine. These brews typically exhibit unique flavor profiles that are not possible using dried hops.

Teach A Friend to Homebrew Day, Saturday Nov. 7th
Each year on the first Saturday in November, homebrewers around the world are encouraged to invite non-brewing and brewing friends and family to celebrate Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day and brew a batch of beer together.
Once again we will brew up some beer for this event and encourage anyone who is interested in seeing the brewing process to stop by and check it out.
